It's 1984, which is a lifetime away for many people and definitely is in the computing world.

This is back in the days when most things were text based, the internet as we know it today could not even be imagined and mechanical typewriters (remember them?) were still in use in thousands of offices.

And, as for moving text, well it would move only as fast as your fingers could type.

But Steve Jobs had other ideas ...
